Do you appreciate the finer things in life? Then you must love Brussels beers! White, blond, brown, triple, IPA, lambic... everyone in Brussels has their favourite. However, if you're looking to broaden your horizons, you can always seek the advice of connoisseurs.

We in Belgium are incredibly lucky to have beer in our heritage, as part of our DNA! Brussels is teeming with specialised breweries and bars where you can taste this most precious of beverages. You might want to build up your own stock of beers for your next evening with friends. People are proud of their wine cellars, so why not develop a beer cellar that will be the envy of many. The following shops specialise in beer and will be delighted to guide you in your choice!

Beer Mania is a veritable beer merchant, who is always on hand to offer advice. This beer boutique, located a stone's throw from the European Quarter, proudly claims to be the world's first beer shop! They sell more than 400 craft beers from Brussels and Belgium, including some rare and ancient beers, which has even attracted high-profile visitors such as George Bush, Jacques Chirac and Tony Blair!

De Biertempel – Belgium’s best beers

Opened in 1996, De Biertempel has decades of expertise and is ideally located in the heart of Brussels, just a stone's throw from the Grand-Place. The shop offers a range of some 1,000 beers, with a particular focus on craft and rare beers. A must-visit.

Founded in 1917, Huens was originally a grocery store. Located in the university district near the Ixelles cemetery, it is very popular with students. Open only in the evenings, the shop offers a huge selection of speciality beers and the range is constantly evolving. It's a genuine institution.

A unique feature of Malt Attacks is the possibility to fill a "growler" - reusable 1 or 2 litre bottles - with draught beer on site.

Malting Pot

Located a stone's throw from place Eugène Flagey, Malting Pot offers a wide range of carefully selected craft beers from Brussels, Belgium and beyond, including beers from all over Europe and even Canada. Beer Planet

The Marolles district is also home to a temple of beer: step inside Beer Planet, where you'll find a large and varied selection of mainly local and craft beers. You'll quickly fall under the spell of the owners' passion! A special mention goes to their dart board, which gives you the chance to win a prize! In short, high-quality beers in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. You can also order your drinks online

Cantillon

Last but by no means least, we bring you to the Cantillon brewery, Brussels' last remaining lambic brewery. The establishment produces the unique spontaneously fermented beer and is definitely worth a visit. Happily, they regularly organise tours, but you're here to buy beer, and you won't be disappointed: Kriek, lambic and fruit blends, lambic and grape marc blends resulting in a beverage somewhere between beer and wine... the range is wide, and often you'll only find these bottles at the brewery.
