Brussels is constantly evolving. Addresses come and go and there's always something new to discover. Here you'll find our top tips, updated monthly. Often, they're new places to eat or cultural hotspots, but they can be anything. They all have one thing in common: they all help to make Brussels a lively capital city, no matter the time of day. Discover them, and enjoy!

Carte Blanche

Carte Blanche is one of the most exciting culinary initiatives to hit Brussels in recent months. The concept is simple: top chefs take turns at the helm of the former Tarzan restaurant. With a few big names from abroad, Carte Blanche got off to a strong start, leaving us wanting more. Be sure to keep an eye on the lineup!

Rue Washington 59, 1050 Ixelles

Gaijin

It takes courage to open a restaurant in this beautiful building in Ixeles. With predecessors like Ötap and Raki, the bar was set pretty high. But the new Gaijin clears it with ease. Their secret? Traditional French cuisine with lots of Japanese influences and techniques, served in an incredibly cosy atmosphere.

Place Albert Leemans 10, 1050 Ixelles

Petricor

Chef Diego Galvez made a fine choice when, after spending time in France and Spain, he returned to Brussels with a wealth of (Michelin-starred) experience and new influences under his belt. At Petricor, you can choose from two set menus, each comprising around ten exquisitely refined, gourmet dishes, all with an irresistible Spanish flair.

Avenue de Woluwe-Saint-Lambert 32, 1200 Woluwe-Saint-Lambert

La Paix

The fabulous restaurant La Paix has reopened. Master chef David Martin’s two-Michelin-starred restaurant has found a new home in the luxurious Corinthia Grand Hotel Astoria Brussels. There, he showcases a new menu and an expanded team. It is set to be the ultimate destination for a truly exclusive gastronomic experience. The pinnacle of exclusivity is the private chef’s table. You’ll be hard pressed to find a restaurant better than this.

Rue Royale 103, 1000 Brussels

Largo

Place Georges Brugmann in Ixelles boasts a new spot where you’re welcome every day, from morning until night. Largo is the name, and it's about to be your new go-to spot for coffee, aperitifs, wine, focaccia and pasta, with the cantina serving up the finest flavours from Northern Italy, and the bottega stocking everything you need to recreate the flavours at home.
