WOMEN, LIFE, FREEDOM
The Euro-Persian Art Organization is honored to invite you to the concert titled ”Women, life, freedom”.
We are organizing a concert under the title “Women, Life, Freedom” through a musical and cultural connection through which we support the women of Iran and keep the topic alive. Iranian women are once again given the opportunity to make their solo voices heard.
The outcry "Woman, life, freedom" is being shouted all over Iran with Iranian women standing up for their rights. All over the world, the same slogan is used in local languages, this outcry already has a long, inseparable history with the long struggles that Iranian women have waged in the country.
The Euro-Persian Art Organization's mission is to create a cultural connection between the West and pre-Islamic Persian heritage through cultural activities. After the Islamic revolution in Iran in the late 1970s, the female solo voice was banned from performances. In the EURO-PERSIAN ART ENSEMBLE, we want to give Persian women the opportunity to perform again and revive the beauty of this great art form.
The concert entitled "Women, Life, Freedom" will do just this; giving women a voice, keeping the subject alive in the Western world, and showing support. We want to convey our message in a peaceful way through cultural connection.
This high-quality project will strengthen the ties between professional international musicians in Brussels, which will enhance the image of Brussels as the capital of Belgium on an international level.
For this project, the chamber orchestra consists of both award-winning international soloists and very talented young musicians in collaboration with the choir “Serenata Vocale”. They bring well-known classical pieces and new compositions within the genre of classical music, from the late classical period to the 21st century.

Raiders of the Lost Ark
The film that gave the world one of its greatest movie heroes, Indiana Jones, is back and better than ever before!
The film that gave the world one of its greatest movie heroes, Indiana Jones, is back and better than ever before! Relive the magic on the silver screen with the original great adventure ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’, accompanied by John Williams’ epic score performed live to picture!
The year is 1936, and professor of archeology and “obtainer of rare antiquities” Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) is tasked by U.S. Army Intelligence to recover the legendary Ark of the Covenant before it falls into the hands of the Nazis. Indy’s quest takes him to Nepal and Egypt, reuniting him with an old friend (John Rhys-Davies), an old foe (Paul Freeman), and an ex-flame (Karen Allen) who falls somewhere in between. Armed with his hat, whip and wits, our intrepid hero must face formidable enemies – and impossible odds – to save the day and the world.
“I must say that the experience of composing the music for this film, and for the subsequent installments in the series, was a very happy one, and offered me a wild and truly joyous ride.“ John Williams

Sandar Tun Tun Minor Noise
“that in which we live, leftovers and heritage,
toxic or fertile, aural reminiscence with an a
all those things that stay in the ear,
all those things that we can’t grasp but we keep
the sonic imprint”
Sandar Tun Tun proposes sonic gestures that weave their way through a variety of relationships and spaces encountered within collaborations and collective ventures. They initially composed Minor Noise in the frame of to “The Fire Next Time”, an ensemble of works and practices brought together by Mawena Yehouessi and Rosanna Puyol (Villa Arson, 2023). All three chapters of Minor Noise tap into things that we hear but don’t necessarily make sense of. Things that go unnoticed but still settle in the body and leave imprints in aural memory.
Sandar summons up minor notes as a way to reinstate what is secondary, insignificant, marginal, lesser or subsidiary in a context of transmission/connection. This appeal to sounds that are not quite (t)here, but whose embrace we feel all around us, constitutes the raw material of Minor Noise. A type of sound that speaks the language of desire, awakening a sense of melancholic longing. Combining hand-made samples with sounds of breath, cries, and spoken words, the artist gathers leftovers of the noise that surrounds, traverses and makes us: “Le bruit de fond, le fond du monde (the background noise, at the bottom of the world)”.
20 minutes
in loop
Sandar Tun Tun build their work around fabulation, new alliances and collaborative trajectories. Artist, researcher, DJ and composer, they develop a sonic, spatial and performative practice focused on listeningas a critical and sensitive responsiveness. Drawing on music social space and its transgressive perspectives their projects explore ways of reverence or interversion to inhabit dissonance, fragmentation and noise. Their research focuses on the modalities of transmission within aural cultures and engineered narratives, the space of appearance/disappearance, the relationship between technology and spirituality, non-human ecologies and collective consciousness and often leads to the experimentation of languages, strategies and co-composition processes ranging from the creation of entities to the organisation of events, study groups or sonic poetry evenings.

Bricknasty
Soul, hip-hop, jazz & funk with an Irish accent
Frontman Fatboy grew up in the industrial apartment towers of Ballymun, to the north of Dublin. Since sports or fighting weren’t his thing, he taught himself to play guitar and he wrote rap songs on the toilet. The mythical flats have since been demolished, but fortunately, that piece of history was captured by Irish photographer Ross McDonnell in the photo book Joyrider.Fatboy met his producer through SoundCloud, which is pretty typical for the DIY generation. He soon found other musical mates there, who have opinions on all the sounds they like to hear. Bricknasty came out with its debut album Ina Crueler in early June 2023. The result is fresh, contemporary, and sounds like something somewhere between R&B, soul, hip-hop, jazz, blues, funk, and falsettos."We don’t write mega protest anthems, we just make music that contributes a little to the value of the world in our own small, insignificant way”, says the band. This promises to be a memorable club night.

Belgian National Orchesta, González-Monjas & Ibragimova
Mozart Violin Concerto 5 & Mahler 1
When Mozart was in the service of the Salzburg archbishops in the 1770s, he wrote a series of five violin concertos. The Russian-British violinist Alina Ibragimova performs the last and most important of these. The third and final movement of the Fifth Violin Concerto is particularly special: a rondo that begins with an amiable theme, but suddenly turns into what was known in Mozart's time as "Turkish music".Then the Belgian National Orchestra, in collaboration with Bozar and La Monnaie, embarks on a major Mahler cycle. The ambition? To give the best performances of all the Mahler symphonies in Brussels in less than two years! In this concert, guest conductor Roberto González-Monjas takes on Mahler's First Symphony.

Dance! Dance!! Dance!!! Classical music that will make you want to move.
Dance! Dance!! Dance!!! Classical music that will make you want to move.
From Chopin's Waltz, the Polish Parisian,
to the Spanish Fandango of Granados,
passing by the Manly Dance of Ginastera the Argentinian
and the Estonian composer Sumera's dance dripping with typically Baltic humor... all this interpreted by the delicate and feverish hands of the pianist Yu-Fen Chang,Taiwanese-Belgian – A moment to catch our breath...!
And we will pass towards the Belgian-Hungarian Nikolaas Kende who will move us from Bach's suites to Mozart's minuet, from Brahms' waltzes to Chopin … to Tchaikovsky's swans to finish with, forgive the word “Davidsbundlertanze” by Schumann.
If we complete with a Polish Brussels resident, Szymon Brzoska with his “murmurs”,
contemporary dance music used by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui, international Antwerp choreographer, performed by Isaak Duerinck.
3 + = no less than 3 +’s so 3 surprises …
We look forward to seeing you there.... And don't forget that performances begin or continue at the Tricoterie's café-restaurant, which is open until 11 p.m. on Sundays.

Duo ClairObscur – Emmanuelle Maggesi and Anne Wischik & painter Frédéric Haire
From shadow to light: from an intimate pianissimo, the duo ClairObscur have imagined an immense crescendo towards a fortissimo, borrowing essential works from the French repertoire of the 19th and 20th centuries. Inspired by the performance of the 2 pianists, the painter Frédéric Haire gradually draws us into his world until the apotheosis of the last note of music, the final brushstroke.
